I try to be super conscious about what is going into my body. I am a huge planner so I like to plan out what I am going to eat and how many calories each meal will consist off. What I don’t always account for are snacks. I always get hungry between meals and depending on the time of day I like to have a handful of almonds or a piece of fruit. But every once in a while I crave a little more or something different! Here are around up of my favorite “healthy” snacks and where I get them as well!
Rebel Coconut Milk Elixir : Organic and is my replacement for coffee. I do not like coffee but the energy boost this gives is exactly like coffee and it tastes just like it without any of the coffee. My favorite flavors are the Maca cold brew, Macha mocha and Reishi Chocolate.
Skinny Pop Popcorn : Easy snacking for a movie night or watching a good series! It’s all about portion control so pour yourself a cup or two of this popcorn and drink with some sparkling flavored water!
Fit Joy Protein Bars : These are hands down my favorite protein bars! They literally taste like cookies without any chalky flavor. They are also GMO free, have no artificial colors or flavors and Gluten free!
Justin’s Almond Butter : Natural and organic, I love this with an apple or eating from the tiny packets to go with some pretzel sticks. So better than peanut butter in my opinion.
Special K Nourish Bites : The blueberry Almond Quinoa bites are my favorite especially for some breakfast on the go with a piece of fruit!
Organic Apple Sauce Squeeze : Okay, so I know these are probably for kids but I so love them! They are convenient, mess free and easy to transport. Did I mention they are organic as well?
These are just a few of the “packaged” items I like to snack on. I really try not to get anything processed and an easy way to stay away from those foods are to shop on the perimeter of the grocery store! For some healthier snacks always go for veggies and hummus, rice cakes, greek yogurt, hard boiled eggs and berries.
