Where I Shop

I always get asked about new boutiques and places to shop so I thought I would compile a quick list of places where I get my favorite pieces. I really do shop around everywhere, but depending on the piece I want I will go to different places. If I have a piece in mind, I will go to different places to see if they have something similar, or if it is trendy I have my go-to places! Also if I do not have any idea of what to shoot and just want to try to find a brand new piece I also have my go-to places to shop as well!

I usually like to online shop because the sites I visit most often are not usually found at my local mall. Some of them of course are, but I also just think it’s so much easier! I hardly go to the mall to shop unless I know the store has a piece I really want so I go and see it and try it on in person. I have gotten pretty good at focusing in on materials, reading size dimensions and concluding what will work for me and what will not based on the information provided when I online shop.

I actually got this outfit half online half in person. I was looking for last minute Festival Style pieces and festival or not I am a sucker for fringe. This dress is actually from Forever 21 which is where I go to get my trendy pieces. When I am looking for a piece that is fun and lower cost, or pieces that I really like because they are trendy but I may not wear in a few months, Forever 21 is my go-to! That being said, I would consider this dress a staple dress because it is a LBD and I know I will be wearing it for a while!

Showpo is a great place to shop for cute pieces no matter your size! The pieces always fit well and are girly and fun! Definitely, a must when you are just shopping around for weekend wear!

Verge Girl and Princess Polly seem to be on the same wavelength. I am OBSESSED with their pieces and this is where I shop when I want to shoot something new but I do not have a piece in mind. The pieces are always feminine and sweet and so my style!

The ‘sweet girls’ boutique is none other than Lulu’s of course! This is a must for a sweet Sunday dress or a cute vacation outfit! Also, their shoes and accessories are mostly why I shop here!

When I am looking for something cool and fresh, I shop Asos. The prices range but when you really spend some time on the site there are tons and tons of great finds! For petite friends like me (or even my tall gals) there are subsections for you to shop your size too!

Higher End

Give me all the Lace, Frills and sweet prints brought to you by For Love & Lemons! These pieces are more special occasion pieces but they are so fun and ideal for when I am shooting!

Reformation has great basics and vintage vibes. I found a jacket there once that I just will never be able to live without!

Now I know everyone knows about this one, but for a sleek look, I shop Revolve. You really just need a piece or two to create a killer look, but I mean I would also be elated if my entire closet was made up of Revolve! (What a dream)

Valentine’s day Gift Guide + Outfit Details

Valentine’s day is one of my favorite holidays! It always has been ever since I was younger and would get to pick out Valentine’s cards to give out to the class! I even would buy Valentine’s for my friends in high school. I love the pinks, reds, and purples. Hearts and the odds and ends that come with the holiday are always so cute! I also really liked shooting this outfit! Something different for me as I am trying to be more trendy with this, but I love trying new looks and genres of fashion. I also included some sweet gifts for the special girls in your life! These are sweet little reminders to share that will last a bit longer than a heart balloon and candy!

Blue Sweater – Fall Feels

I’m finally getting into the Fall vibe here in LA! I’ve never experienced a Fall/Winter in another state so I am excited for the change! If you’re from California definitely let me know what to expect! I’m definitely used to going to pumpkin patches, drinking Pumpkin Spiced Lattes and carving pumpkins in Texas… wow that’s a lot of pumpkin activities…

What are your favorite Fall activities?

Tried something a bit different for this shoot. Not too sure if I like it yet, but I’m definitely liking it for fall! I love a sweater and shorts combo! Totally does not make sense.. but it does at the same time!

Okay also I cannot live without these sunglasses and these necklaces recently! They have been (and will continue to be) a staple for me and my wardrobe! I cannot wait to share more looks! I have been trying to go a bit edgier with my outfits!

Honestly all of the really good birthday years are behind me it feels like, so I wanted to do something fun this year to celebrate! I went to Dallas with my best friends and I couldn’t have been more excited! Since I am in Los Angeles, being away from all of my friends makes me miss them like crazy, so I am so excited to be able to spend the weekend with them somewhere I’ve never been before to celebrate my special day!

Coffee Talk : What I do as a Public Relations Intern

Okay, while I’m not exactly an intern anymore, I still have a hard time considering myself a full time employee. Techinically I am a free lance PR agent. I wanted to answer this because I always get a lot of questions from my friends and family about what I do exactly. I never thought about answering this on the blog but I thought it would be a good idea for my new Coffee Talk series. Also who can resist a good blog post while hanging out at a cute coffee shop like Alfred’s Coffee? My ideal Sunday afternoon!

Public relations is very different from advertising. Advertising is when you pay to get your message to the target audience and public relations requires a lot of pitching and proper wording. I work for an agency that deals directly with artists. The agency serves as a middle man connecting an artists (painter, sculpter, etc.) to the press.

I build a lot of media lists which is just a list of media contacts. I send emails to writers, journalists, editors and segment producers about what our creative clients are working on; whether it be an exhibition, new art piece or event. I also work largely on their social media content.

Public relations really is just a liason between a client and their target audience by means of media interaction.

Trend Spotlight : White Booties

I think I can predict white booties to be an upcoming trend this Fall and Winter seasons. White shoes in general have been a huge hit and there were so many options from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that I think everyone is getting their hands on! Here is how I styled my newest pair as well as a few that I have linked for you to check out! These have been also been in my Wish List Tab so check that out for my latest ‘wants’ and ‘must-buy’ items!

Another shoe trend I have been seeing in booties is the open side, I think it’s a cute detail and I am all for it! Something different that is simple and so chic!
