My Summer Routine

Since I am writing this post early and it is super long I am going to have this been a week long post! I will also be in Europe when this goes live so keep up with my instagram stories to see my trip before it hits the blog!

Everyday is always something new, but I do definitely have an ideal day from workouts to planning out my meals and seeing my friends and family. I decided to document my typical summer day step by step. Keeping in mind I do not have a full time job quite yet, I get to enjoy my free time and get the things done that I have to do as well.

The real reason I wanted to share my typical day is because today was not a regular “binge watch netflix” kinda day. I really do love to fill my day with blogging and listening to podcasts, eating healthy and doing at least 15 minutes of cardio. Summers are my “trophy wife” seasons because after a while I have to fill my time with something, but for the while it’s definitely a good break.

10:30 A.M. : I usually wake up a bit early if I did not go out a night before. In all honesty I wake up and try to take a big drink of water because I hear it gets your body and your organs ready to work. I prefer lemon water but regular water or hot tea works.

10:45 A.M. : I finally start getting up and I weigh myself every morning when I wake up because you should weigh yourself at the same time everyday, I just choose the morning.

11:00 A.M. : I get some breakfast which I never used to do. I just recently started eating breakfast but no matter what I start my day out with fruit to get in one serving and either oatmeal, cereal and almond milk or some scrambled eggs on the side.

11:30 A.M. : To let my food go down I usually start brushing my teeth, putting on my face moisturizer and spraying dry shampoo into my hair if it’s second day hair. (I’m in the process of training my hair to not be washed constantly)

11:45 A.M. : I like to answer any emails I have received, take all the notifications off of my phone, and check up on Instagram and my blog. I always love to also read The Newsette for my news of the day and a daily tip or two.

12:00 P.M. : I lace up my shoes, and drive over to the gym. I get pumped on the way with some Kanye or Britney Spears if I’m being honest. While I do my cardio I like to listen to Beyonce or a Skinny Confidential Podcast. Then I’ll focus on my body part of the day to work out on and I’ll make sure to drink a whole bottle of water all the while.

1:00 P.M. : I eat a small portion of breakfast so I can eat a salad, soup, or wrap for lunch right after I workout. I go straight to eat right after a workout since that is when your metabolism is working.

1:30 P.M. : I take a quick shower and make sure to put lotion on as soon as I get out! You have to lock in the moisture after a good wash especially after exfoliating!

2:00 P.M. : On this day I went to the mall with my friend. I usually like doing something fun since I have spent so much of the day by myself. Either meeting my parents for lunch or seeing a movie with a friend, going hiking or the pool, its something fun to look forward to.

4:00 P.M. : I make sure to run any errands I have left to do and eat a snack along the way. Usually almonds are my go-to or a yoplait peach yogurt or even a cheese stick and some trail mix.

5:00 P.M. Finally home, something different that I do every single day is to comment on blog posts. I leave a sweet comment on 20 blogs every day to increase my traffic and grow my network!

6:00 P.M. : I usually try to spend time with my family and get all the little things done like taking Paisley (my dog) a bath, online shopping for my wish list, applying for jobs, follow some new accounts or anything that needs to be wrapped up in the day.

7:00 P.M. Dinner Time! Half the plate should be veggies, and I do a protein and sometimes a small card like a piece of garlic bread but I try not to. I am in no way a nutritionist I just go with what I have heard!

8:00 P.M. for the rest of the night I usually try to just settle down and watch my favorite show and pamper myself whether it be a jade roller massage, fix up my eyebrows, exfoliate my feet and put on my under eye cream. This is the ideal time for me to read my book of the moment as well!

The only other thing I would do is if I am going out to start doing my hair and makeup around 9. I do not take long in all honesty so I can wait until 9 to get ready. Rather than that I am usually in bed early preferably with a face or hair mask watching a scary movie.
